Lechee Rock Overlook Hike Description
This section of the Rim Trail is the most accessible, with the option to drive right up to the overlook if desired. For a short 2-mile out-and-back hike from the Airport Access, you’ll enjoy smooth walking along the edge of the mesa with stunning views of Navajo Mountain and Lechee Rock. A prominent sandstone finger extends over the campground below, offering a great vantage point for a westward view.
If you’re simply looking for a brief walk to get some fresh air and stretch your legs, you can take Aqua Street to its end and enjoy a leisurely stroll from there. This area is also ideal for taking dogs for a quick outing. The only downside is that the views also include the Industrial Park and the trailer park on the south end.
