Directions to the Road
The north end of the loop is located directly across the street from the Highway 98 intersection. The south end is accessed by turning west at Mile Marker 545.9. There will be an electrical transformer marking the turn approximately 100 yards off of Highway 89.
Honey Draw Overlook ~ Chicken Pock Rock Loop Description
This short, moderate loop trail near Page Arizona is just a few miles from Horseshoe Bend and delivers you to the very edge of the breathtaking seven-hundred-foot abyss of Glen Canyon and the splendor sprawling just below your tires. The trail then loops around to another impressive overlook of the canyon before taking you to a unique sandstone formation known as Chicken Pock Rock. Named for the red “freckles” on the Navajo Sandstone, this distinctive “bowl basin” and outcroppings invites you to unbuckle and explore its wavy features while contemplating the fascinating geology of the area.
