West Clark Bench Area Description:

West Clark Bench is a delightful network of mellow dirt roads that get you to a series of overlooks into the depths of Paria Canyon, and panoramic views of the Wave & White Pocket within the Paria Plateau. While some offshoots require 4×4 capability, the main roads are well-packed and suitable for AWD vehicles. The four overlooks make for a great half-day exploration and can be combined with the Paria Overlook trail for a longer adventure. At each overlook, you can hike to sandstone outcrops or along the rim for better angles and to explore the contorted rock formations. Keep an eye out for Big Horn Sheep, Antelope, and Mule Deer in the area!
