PAGE ARIZONA’S RIM TRAIL

~ Hiking Trail Guide ~

The Rim Trail in Page, Arizona is a mostly level mesa-top hiking trail overlooking Lake Powell and Glen Canyon, with multiple segments and scenic viewpoints around the mesa. This trail circles the city of Page, is approximately 10 miles in length, is well-maintained and features a mix of paved and natural surfaces, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.

As you traverse the Rim Trail, you’ll encounter various lookout points, side spur trails and amazing sandstone formations. The trail is particularly popular for its sunrise and sunset views, where the shifting light creates breathtaking photo opportunities.

Along the way, interpretive signs provide information about the local flora, fauna, and geology, enriching the hiking experience with educational insights. The trail is also dotted with benches and shaded areas, offering spots to rest and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Rim Trail Highlights

Potato Hill Loop

Located on the north end of Manson Mesa, this fantastic 1.75 mile loop hike takes you around Potato Hill Overlook and gives you ever changing views of Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell on its western edge and Navajo Mountain and Tower Butte on its east.

Lechee Rock Overlook

A short hike down the south eastern corner of the mesa with views of Navajo Mountain and Lechee Rock.

Monkey Slide

A short 1 mile out and back hike to a beautiful amphitheater, a marvelous Monkey Slide, and a sweet little spire.

Vermillion View Lookout

This striated sandstone point rewards you with majestic views of the mighty Glen Canyon, the Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell and The Grand Staircase National Monument.

Grandview Point

One of the best destinations the Rim Trail has to offer. A remote and unspoiled section of the trail, with contoured hiking, and absolutely fantastic views of Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon.

Biidi The Arch

Located just off the Rim Trail, this short, sandy hike formerly know as Sand Cove Cavern leads to a beautiful striated cavern behind the Big Lake Trading Post.
