WEST OF HIGHWAY 89 4X4 ROUTES

There are numerous 4×4 and off-road trails northwest of Page, Arizona, offering a wide variety of options for UTVs, motorcycles, side-by-sides, and trucks. This vast region is filled with diverse terrain, ranging from mellow dirt roads, like House Rock Valley, that are suitable for 2-wheel drive vehicles, to remote backcountry two-track roads, such as the Powell Monument Route, that will challenge even the most seasoned off-road enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely ride or an adrenaline-pumping adventure, this area has something for everyone.

Ferry Swale Trails

Also known as “Dead Dog”, this area has always been a favorite of Page locals. The varied terrain has something fun for everyone in close proximity to town.

Radio Towers – Dominguez

Drive to the edge of the earth! This 4×4 road takes you through a variety of terrain to a viewpoint overlooking the Colorado River, Vermillion Cliffs and Grand Canyon.

Studhorse Mesa & Loop

This drive over mellow dirt roads gets you to the fantastically unique Skylight Arch and the Studhorse Hoodoos.

Paria Overlook

A great series of moderate two track roads that dissect East Clark Bench and offer stellar views of Paria Canyon on one side and Lake Powell on the other.

West Clark Bench

This area has a network of mild to moderate dirt roads that get you to a series of Paria Canyon overlooks, and to the top of Birthday Arch.

House Rock Valley Road

A thirty mile long, improved dirt road suitable for 2 wheel drive cars that takes you through some wonderful country from Scenic Byway Highway 89A to Highway 89.

White Pocket

Located on the rugged and remote Paria Plateau, this gorgeous 4×4 route takes you to a sandstone formation that will blow your mind. 

Powell’s Monument

The Paria Plateau in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument is vast and wild, with off-road adventure galore and Powell’s Monument is one of its finest destinations.
